A clash between biker gangs at a tourist site kills 1 and injures 4 | Missouri News

LAKE OZARK, Missouri (AP) – A showdown between rival motorcycle gangs at a popular tourist site in Lake of the Ozarks has left one dead and four injured.

Dan Field, spokesperson for the city of Lake Ozark, told the Kansas City Star authorities cannot yet say which motorcycle clubs were involved in Thursday night’s showdown. The victims had not been identified on Friday.

The shooting happened around 7.45 p.m. Thursday near Casablanca, a bar and restaurant on the strip of shops along the road that crosses the Bagnell dam. A message Casablanca posted on its Facebook page said Thursday that it was “cycling night.”

The announcement called the shooting an “unfortunate event” and an “isolated incident” and said staff in Casablanca were safe.

Another fatal shooting occurred in the resort community over Memorial Day weekend at the Lazy Gators event site, located 7 miles west of the Bagnell Strip.
