NEW DELHI: After the âStatue of Unityâ in Gujarat was included in TIME magazine’s â100 Greatest Places in the World of 2019â list, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Wednesday that he was happy that ‘it is becoming a âpopular tourist spotâ.

Modi unveiled Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s âStatue of Unityâ in October last year on the occasion of his 143rd birthday.
Located on Sadhu-Bet Island in Gujarat, the 182-meter-high statue occupies over 20,000 square meters and is surrounded by a 12-square-kilometer man-made lake.
Besides ‘Statue of Unity’, Soho House Mumbai was also included in the list.
