“Hanuwantia will be a world-class tourist site”



Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said Hanuwantia is as beautiful as Sentosa Island in Singapore. It was during his visit to Sentosa Island that he was inspired to develop Hanuwantia as a tourist destination. The deep blue water here is like the ocean. City dwellers yearn to see such a spectacle. Today, Hanuwantia holds a special place in Madhya Pradesh tourism.

Chouhan said that in addition to cultural activities, various adventure activities like scuba diving, hot air balloon rides, etc. would be launched in Hanuwantia. Tourists can also sit in a helicopter. Chouhan launched Jal Mahotsav 2021-22 on Saturday in Hanuwantia, a tourist destination in Khandwa district.

The Chief Minister congratulated all concerned for the awards received by Madhya Pradesh at Swachchh Survekshan. The city of Indore in Madhya Pradesh was the country’s first for the fifth consecutive time in the Swachchh Survekshan. Other areas of the state have also set cleanliness records. Chouhan congratulated Mundi on coming first in the country in the category of waste-free cities with 25,000 inhabitants.

Chouhan said that the region of Nimar tells the glorious saga of the tribal heroes Tantya Bhil, Bhima Nayak, Khajya Nayak etc. Tantya Mama was born here. His armbands are kept here. Tantya Mama’s day of sacrifice will be celebrated in the state on December 4 in Patalpani. Before that, a yatra will be taken out of Barda de Pandhana tehsil village in Khandwa district, the place of his birth, with a pot from his holy land, which will end on December 4 in Patalpani. He asked the Principal Secretary of Culture Sheo Shekhar Shukla that an exhibition should be organized in Hanuwantia after 75 years of independence, which should show the saga of the patriots of our country.

The Chief Minister said that the Department of Tourism is doing a wonderful job in the field of tourism. Employment opportunities are created by tourism. Tourism will be increasingly promoted in the state. Rural tourism is also starting up. Chouhan also ordered to start the Bird Watch Center and the Night Safari in Charkheda at the request of the Minister of Forests Vijay Shah.

Chouhan said all crown-related restrictions have been lifted in the state for this purpose so that the livelihoods of any section are not affected. We must take all precautions even after the ban is lifted. Everyone should receive two doses of corona vaccine.

Forestry Minister Vijay Shah said various islands in the Narmada River in Hanuwantia region will be developed from a tourism perspective. A bird watching center and night safari can start in Charkheda. Boats will be operated for the pilgrimage site of Sant Singaji. Here the air service can also be started by arranging the landing on the water.
