IRCTC Onam Special Bharat Darshan: Explore iconic destinations in India with the IRCTC Special Bharat Darshan Sightseeing Train. The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation is offering a special Onam Bharat Darshan Ex Kerala package, which will cover Goa, Statue of Unity in Gujarat, Jaipur, Delhi, Agra and Hyderabad. The special train will depart from Madurai Station on August 15, 2021 at 12:05 am. For this 11 night / 12 day package, passengers can book their tickets online through the official IRCTC website or through the tourist facilitation center, regional and zonal offices of the company. The organized trip will cost Rs 12,000 per passenger.

According to the IRCTC website, the tour embarkation points are Madurai, Kollam, Trivandrum Central, Kottayam, Thrissur, Ernakulam Town, Shornur Junction, Kannur, Kozhikode and Kasargod. The drop-off points are Renigunta Junction, Katpadi Junction, Salem Junction, Jolarpettai, Erode Junction, Palakkad, Podanur Junction, Ottapalam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kottayam, Kollam Junction, Tirunelveli, Trivandrum Central and Madurai.

IRCTC Onam Special Bharat Darshan Ex Kerala package will include sleeper class train tickets, overnight stay / refreshment in dharmashalas / halls on a multi-share basis, morning tea or coffee, meals including breakfast lunch, lunch, dinner, one liter of bottled drinking water per person per day, travel insurance, non-air-conditioned road transfers on a SIC basis, guide and safety on the train. However, the tour package will not include items of a personal nature, i.e. medicines, laundry etc., the service of a tour guide, entrance fees for monuments and all others that are not mentioned in the package inclusions.

For tourists who take advantage of Bharat Darshan tours, IRCTC will issue a travel concession at the end of the tour (only train tickets and road transfers will be admitted). In accordance with the trip cancellation policy, if the reservation is canceled up to 15 days, Rs 250 will be deducted. In case of cancellation up to 8 to 14 days, 25% of the cost will be deducted; in case of cancellation up to 4 to 7 days, 50% will be deducted. There will be no refund if the reservation is canceled within four days.
