The government is considering making Kotli Sattian a new tourist spot that would also help alleviate congestion in Murree, National Assembly Member (NAM) Sadaqat Ali Abbasi said.
He said a plan is being developed to build a tourist highway from Lower Topa Murree to Chowk Pindori via Bostanabad to provide easy access for tourists to Kotli Sattian. He said they had asked the relevant authorities to prepare a full proposal for the project within a few weeks.
Abbasi said that through tourism, residents’ standard of living could also be improved and they could have the opportunity to earn a living in their home region. He added that the Pakistani government of Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was making efforts to improve the quality of education in addition to focusing on health and education infrastructure and road construction.

The MP said that works to modernize national highways and connecting roads are also underway. The timely completion of development programs is the top priority of the Punjab government so that the standard of living of the people can be raised, he added. The most important thing for the promotion of tourism is to provide easy access to these places.
According to a spokesperson for the commissioner’s office, Kotli Sattian is being developed as an alternative to Murree and the provincial government is developing a plan to improve the area and identify tourist spots.
