Prayagraj (UP), July 23 (SocialNews.XYZ) Yogi Adityanath’s government in Uttar Pradesh plans to develop several tourist attractions in Prayagraj ahead of Maha Kumbh in 2025.
One of these projects is the Kanihar City Lake Project, which will be developed as a joint effort of the Prayagraj Municipal Corporation (PMC) and the Prayagraj Development Authority (PDA).
Kanihar Town Lake is proposed on an area of ââ65.68 hectares of vacant land near the villages of Jhunsi and Andawa, just a few kilometers from the heart of Sangam Town.
The project will be developed as a privileged picnic spot for city residents as well as tourists.
While the PDA plans to develop the forest using the Miyawaki technique, the PMC is preparing to hire a consultant and work on the rejuvenation of the existing lake at the site.
When ready, the Kanihar City Lake Forest will serve as a weekend getaway site for city residents and a major attraction for tourists.
According to PMC Chief Engineer Satish Kumar, “PMC will soon prepare a detailed project report (DPR) and submit it to secure the required funds. With the help of experts, we will renovate the Kanihar Lake area in Jhunsi. PMC will rely on expert architects and consultants who will be hired soon. “
Kumar said that to make the lake and its surroundings more attractive, PMC is also considering building cabins around the lake where visitors can come and stay for a few days.
Before the renovation, a perimeter wall will be built around the lake to protect it from encroachment.
The project is expected to be completed before the start of Kumbh in 2025.
Rohit Khanna, superintendent engineer of PDA, said: âThere will be very little concrete construction in the plan and the site will have a natural path made of grass with natural landscapes on either side, a play area for children. , an open gymnasium and a boating facility. “
