Hyderabad: Tourism Minister V Srinivas Goud and Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister E Dayakar Rao said every effort would be made to develop the area around Sri Ramanujacharya’s ‘Statue of Equality’ in Muchintal as a destination touristic.
The two ministers visited the Tridandi Chinna Jeeyar Swamy Ashram in Muchintal and inspected preparations for the unveiling of the Equality Statue next month.

Addressing the occasion, the ministers said elaborate arrangements depicting Telugu culture were in the works for the unveiling ceremony. President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are expected to attend the program, the ministers said, adding that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, many eminent personalities and Vedic scholars will attend the ceremony.
Apart from the laying of interior roads, many other arrangements are made to ensure that there is no inconvenience to those attending the ceremony.
The reconstruction of the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple atop Yadadri was also nearing completion and Chandrashekhar Rao has already taken steps for the restoration of many temples across the state, they said.
“With the reconstruction of the Yadadri temple, Telangana has been transformed into a spiritual center and the unveiling of the statue of Ramanujacharya will be an added attraction,” Srinivas Goud said.
